After looking at the draft for a while and even re-drawing it in my weaving program, it has come to light that there are some floats in the design. I have never seen a Rep Weave pattern that has floats so, in my mind there is a mistake in the pattern, that the "corrections" addendum never addressed. What will this mean?? I will have to play with the pattern to see if I can eliminate the floats. I can't change the threading, not since I have spent so much time getting that right. I don't want to change the tie ups either since that is the basis of this pattern. I will be able to change the lift plan and eliminate those picks that cause the floats. This will change a the final weave design just a bit, but that will be just fine in my book since the placemats will be sold by the barn and we don't want anyone to think that I wove them with a mistake (the floats).Off to have my Sunday cuppa and chat with Elisa of Scotland.
