Today I finished the waffle weave towel that has been partly finished for months. It has been cut off so I can now hem and wash it. The 12-dent reed has been removed from the loom so it can go with Yuko back to Japan. I will get my 10-dent reed out and re-slay the loom so I can finish off the remaining 2 or is it 3 towels.
I have also cleaned my office once again. It is a monthly occurrence that I must do or it is just too messy in here for me to get anything done.
But in the long run, I am setting certain things aside for a while and focusing on chasing & repousse. I am ready to go to that next level and to do that I have to reduce the number of side projects. Oh, don't get me wrong, I want to do this. I would quit my day job to focus on it, if I could.
I am taking the long view: learn as much as I can now; sell some pieces; try to make a name for myself; and in time (read that as when I retire) I will be able to spend my days hammering on metals, weaving, and sewing.
