Six months ago, I arrived in Texas, to move into the almost finished house and I started my new job a week later; so on November 27th, I will have been at it for 6 months too.
And today is Thanksgiving too..Here are some things that I am thankful for:
Boots, the cat, is now known as Cowboy Boots. She handled the plane trip really well and has adjusted to being in the new house; she is still very frisky and would not know that she is 10 years old.
Erich closed up the house in California and has moved here too. We are still unpacking boxes; we only do a few boxes each weekend and that is OK with us.
The California house is in escrow and the sale should be completed sometime next week.
Erich is in great health, not bad for a man that has just turned 79!
My health, despite taking a slight backslide on weight loss, is also doing very good.
Overall, despite it being a stressful year, I and Erich have much to be thankful for.
