These two lessons are a prelude to the JTA Level 2 certification, which concentrates on the complex divisions; which is why for lesson 11 one learns to do a complex 8 division and lesson 12 teaches complex 10.
What did I learn in these two lessons
- Complex 8's result in triangle, squares and almond areas.
- Complex 10's result in pentagons, triangle, and diamond areas.
- DO NOT PULL the needle towards you; when it lets go of the mari you will poke your chest with the point! OUCH is the correct response.
- If your mari is not as round as you think it is, the area sizes will be off and then you have to go and adjust everything.
